This small reserve was added in 2020 primarily to get the little tern back as a breeding bird in Northwest Skåne.
Members of the Kullabygden Ornithological Association are responsible for the area’s care and conservation.
The result so far is a smaller tern colony and also nesting magpies and greater sandpipers.
White-starred blue jay is annual but the little tern is still awaited.
Kullabygden’s Ornithological Association is a non-profit association open to all bird enthusiasts with the aim of protecting and exploring the bird fauna in northwestern Scania.
They organize, among other things, excursions and other gatherings to stimulate the bird interest of members and the public.
The member’s magazine is published twice a year.
The association continuously follows the development of the bird life in Northwest Scania and through the association’s Bird Protection Group they monitor and follow trends.
Inventories and route calculations are recurring elements. During the winter months, they feed small birds in a number of places.
The association is responsible for contact with the peregrine falcon project and they actively monitor the peregrine falcon pairs that nest in their area of operation.
