Observe live the life of a recovered wetland!

You can now enjoy the webcam installed in the Laguna de Boada (Palencia). This lagoon, together with those of La Nava and Pedraza, are an important wintering point for many species of waterfowl in the interior of the peninsula; For this reason, the months of November to July are the best time to observe birds. The webcam, located in the heart of Tierra de Campos, will allow you to see the day-to-day life of this Palencia lagoon live and enjoy the nature that surrounds it.

The restoration of wetlands has been our main common thread at FundaciΓ³n Global Nature. Between the 1940s and the 1970s, the three wetlands were drained to increase the agricultural area. Being able to share the life that this lagoon houses is also sharing the effort we have made in the recovery and restoration work that we are carrying out.

We hope that this camera, placed in collaboration with the DiputaciΓ³n de Palencia, will be a window to the natural life of Tierra de Campos, throughout the year you will be able to observe multiple species of aquatic birds that will change seasonally, among which you will be able to find ducks, geese, waders, squirrels, larids and birds of prey.

Nature in its purest form.

During the spring, migratory bird watching stands out, and you have the opportunity to see species that stop at the Boada lagoon to rest and feed, such as the common spoonbill, the egret or the black-backed gull. In summer, when the nesting and breeding season for many birds arrives, the reproduction of various species occurs in the lagoon. Among these, the black-headed gull or the marsh harrier stand out. During autumn and winter, you will be able to observe a multitude of birds such as the greylag goose and several species of ducks and ducks.
